Matan Ariel, Business Development Director, Interlude
Matan leads Interlude’s professional services team. Interlude (interlude.fm) is an award-winning digital media company that designs, develops and markets interactive video technology that has been used by entertainment companies, brands, production companies and independent filmmakers. Interlude is back by Sequoia Capital, Intel Capital, NEA, Marker, and Innovation Endeavors.
Matan started his career as a military singer and actor with the Israeli Navy Entertainment Unit. Following his honorary discharge, Matan collaborated with his military colleagues on a series of seventeen CDs and five children videos under the name “Matan Ariel & Friends.” Due to awards and the popularity of the series, Matan quickly became a familiar persona in Israeli households. He then joined Google’s team in NY, where he managed relationships with some of Google’s strategic advertisers. Later, Matan led business development for innovation consulting firm Fahrenheit 212. Today, Matan leads Interlude’s professional services team and oversees its business development and sales efforts. He holds a BA from Columbia University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
